At PAS Landscapes, our head designer works closely with you to bring your garden dreams to life, creating something that blends seamlessly with your home and truly enhances your living space with tranquillity and beauty. In this blog, we explain more about how our design process works.
Our Designer
Dave is our Garden Designer – with over 54 years of experience and four gold medals from the Chelsea Flower Show – he is one of the most highly regarded garden designers in our area.
With a keen interest in historical gardens, his designs are renowned for their use of colour, texture and pattern to create a stunning effect. Dave believes that a garden is not just about plants. He also works with clients to incorporate other features, such as water features, sculptures and trees, into their gardens.
All of our garden designs are hand drawn and entirely bespoke for each client.
Capturing Your Vision
Before we begin, we discuss your dreams, ideas and needs for the garden. We ask you to consider what you would like to keep and what need features you wish to include. We discuss your goals and encourage you to think about the following:-
What are your goals for the garden?
What do you want to see when you look out the window?
How do you want it to make you feel?
Do you have any favourite plants or flowers?
Once we know more about your vision, we can start creating a plan to bring it together.
Focal Points
From a design point of view, Dave will look at your property and draw lines from the windows – we can then add in the focal points that will showcase these views.
You might want to put a water feature near an entrance or locate a bench where you can enjoy a view. Dave will suggest which plants would work best for each area of your space. Adding in trees, shrubs, and other plants to create shade, privacy, and functionality.
Present The Design
We will then present the design to you and make any changes based on your feedback. The plan will be tweaked until you are 100% satisfied with the final product
Design Comes to Life
Once everything has been agreed we bring in our team of landscapers to make your design come to life. When it comes to landscaping, we know you want an extension of your home that is both functional and beautiful.
